Windows 7 End of Life – Support Ends January 14th 2020

by admin

Windows 7 End of Life. On January 14th 2020, Microsoft will be ending updates for Windows 7. Until January, you can use your Windows 7 PC as normal but after that date, you must either upgrade to windows 10 (If the spec of your computer is good enough allow it) or upgrade your computer to a new computer running windows 10.

You can check the minimum requires direct from Microsoft’s website here . Please note however that even if your computer does meet the minimum requirements, if it is on the lower end and just about scrapes it, your computer will run extremely slowly and sluggish. It’s best to invest in a computer with a high spec such as the Micro i7.

Why bother upgrading? Why not just carry on using it?

You certainly can carry on using your PC but it will be open to easy cyber attack, which includes Viruses, Malware, Ransomware and a whole host of other malicious software that will you open to your identity / bank details / documents etc stolen. We do not suggest that you continue using Windows 7 after January 14th 2020.

Support for Windows 7 is ending – Windows 7 End of Life

All good things must come to an end, even Windows 7. After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7. But you can keep the good times rolling by moving to Windows 10. ~ Microsoft
